The Dasu hydropower station is located in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, about 350 kilometers from Islamabad. The project is financed by the owner and the bank loans. The joint venture formed by Zhongnan Institute and GE Electric Hydropower Equipment (China) Co., Ltd. signed the project contract on November 25, 2019 and is responsible for the implementation of the project. The total installed capacity of the project is 4,320 MW, and the underground plant is constructed in two phases. Owned by the Pakistan Water and Hydropower Development Agency (WAPDA), the installed capacity of the first phase of the plant is 2,160 MW (6X360 MW), and the voltage class of the booster station is 765 kV. It is a key hydropower project in Pakistan.
